Social Media Technician
We need someone to take the lead with compiling, editing, and designing social media posts and engaging with our audience. Our current platforms are Facebook and Meetup.com, but we are looking to venture into new platforms. You will be researching information and keeping others up to date with mental health news to increase awareness of NAMI Wake County and mental illness in general. We are looking for people who has experience with HootSuite, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and/or similar social networking media. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented and a self-starter who is comfortable working independently, but doesn’t mind review.
Need independent, self-starters who are good writers and communicators to write stories for newsletter. This involves a combination of activities such as interviewing assigned individuals and/or attending and writing stories about assigned public meetings.
Assistance with regular maintenance to the website. This includes updating with new materials and removing irrelevant information. We anticipate that the volunteer would provide approximately one hour of service each week. Preference is given to volunteers with experience in SEO and WordPress.org site management.
Program Promotion Lead
NAMI offers programs around Wake County. Help us support our current support groups and classes by building relationships at community businesses and religious organizations that will increase attendance at classes and events.
Designing flyers and emails to promote NAMI Wake in the community.
Information Storage Coordinator
NAMI-Wake is looking to transition to Office 365. We need a volunteer to assist us with a transition plan, file naming policy, uploading materials, and training program managers in Sharepoint and OneDrive utilization. We anticipate that this volunteer would spend 5 hours each week until the transition is complete.
