Safe and adequate housing is an essential element of one’s physical and behavioral health. Permanent and supportive housing is essential to improving mental health stability and recovery. Access to stable housing is often difficult for those with special needs including the mentally ill. Lack of housing options with appropriate supports and wrap-around services often affects a person’s access to behavioral health services.
Housing choices are limited in Wake County. Learn more about the options and how to choose a safe and adequate option for your family member.
