Join the Advocacy Committee
All North Carolinians living with mental illness should have access to an array of services that enhance their quality of life and that will be available to them in a crisis situation. The Advocacy Committee meets on a regular basis.
Become an Awareness Advocate
Write letters to the Editor, meet with elected officials and communicate NAMI Wake County’s mental health policy platform to the general public.
- Complete NAMI Wake Volunteer Application and NAMI Smarts training on sharing your story
- Work with the Advocacy Committee to vocalize priorities
