There are an estimated 30,000 people with severe and chronic mental illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, schizoaffective disorder, major depression,
obsessive compulsive disorder, and borderline personality disorder
living in Wake County.

We would like to have everyone with a mental illness, their family members, health care workers and friends join NAMI Wake County.

Help make a difference in your life or the life of someone with severe and persistent mental illness by joining, volunteering, and donating.

When you join NAMI Wake County, you also join NAMI and NAMI NC.  You will receive newsletters from NAMI NC and information and a magazine from NAMI.

Dues are $35.00

NAMI Wake is an all volunteer organization that counts on volunteers and donations to continue our work.
Our overhead is very low since we have no salaried staff or office space.  We are fortunate to have
community partners who donate working and meeting space.  That means that your donations are used to
support our mission of providing support, education and advocacy for persons with a mental illness
diagnosis and their families.  All donations are appreciated.  NAMI Wake is a 501 (c) (3) tax exempt
nonprofit organization which makes your membership dues and donations deductible to the extent of the
